Felicia is 2!

We met friends at chick-fil-a for a small party.  Her friends James, Allistar, Juju and Laurel came to party.  I ordered everyones lunch we ate them had ducky cup cakes.  The owner knows our faces because we show them so much that he had Ms Cherie, the out reach professional, bring out balloons and he gave us free ice cream for everyone.  Thanks to chick-fil-a.  We all left together before the lunch rush and she opened her gifts at home.

After my weekend away the boys and I gave her gifts.  Dress up shoes, sunglasses, 2 sun dresses and a little play set of little einstein.  Just look at the photo to know what she liked.

Thunder and Lightning

Some may not know but the summer weather pattern of nightly thunder and lightning storms started early this year.  Felicia didn't remember them from last year and clings to me just before bed, which is when it happens.  Last night they started after bed time and when I brought the big boys up, I always check on her.  Look what I found sound asleep.

Memorial Day Weekend

Friday night the kids went to kids night out and we shared a dinner at Outback.  The owner saw us leave and like Chris' Red Sox shirt so he gave us a tour of his great memorabelia.  After finishing a movie from last weekend we brought the kids home.

Saturday, we loaded the bikes and us into the suburban and went to the pinellas trail.  We got caught in the rain, thunder and lightning, oops.  The kids didn't mind but we were soaked.  We wiped the bikes down at home and I packed D, E and F and headed to the Y with the Cooks.  They were happy and C stayed with daddy.  Felicia needed a nap so after lunch down she went.  I grabbed C and D and we went to the library for books, they really liked it and found some fun stories series on soccer and bmx biking.  Yeah for mom that they found some interesting stuff.  Now off to get the Plexico girls and mom to go to a skating birthday party.  OH!! good times, memories and exercise.... enough said.  Back at home poor Chris was dealing with a puking Felicia... we think she found a bad cup.  He was a trooper.

Sunday, Chris finally figured out the what was wrong with the wiring... the leaders needed to be cleaned. It is always something simple.  I cleaned up and did 6 loads of laundry and put it away (that takes for ever).  After Felicia's nap we packed everyone up, slathered on the sunscreen and hit the Elks pool.  The whole way over Felicia keeped asking, "Alks pool".  It was too cute.  Eagan has gotten very good at swimming and diving, so much so that he bumped his forehead on the pool floor.  He is fine but just loves the pool so much.  Felicia jumped off the diving board 2X with Caleb's help,  I think I need my head examined to even let her do it but she stopped after the second one.  Thank goodness.

Monday, we started off with pancakes and sausages.  2 boxes of sausage and half a box of pancake mix, yeah it takes alot to feed the family.  Then we hit the attic because Caleb wants to start collecting quarters from states and I knew there was a special map that holds them and I needed some paperwork from there.  It was late so we got ready for the Davis' cook out, always a rocking good time with their crew.

Changes

It is that time of year when the kids schedule is changing and mommy needs to put on her cruise director hat.  Eagan finished school on wednesday with a fun party at chuck-e-cheese.  I cannot believe he will be in pre-k next fall and Felicia will go with him in the 2 day 2 year olds.  Where has the time gone.

The big boys have 5 1/2 days of school and remind me everyday.  Unfortunately Caleb will go to summer reading school to help his reading but mom will make it fun and the 2 middle boys will spend time in MA and Maine with Chris.  You can image that I had  quite a nice summer planned with 5 weeks in MA but that all changed and I am still in planning mode.

I enjoy my summers with the kids, Elks pool and Highland Aquatics are 2 favorite pool attractions and the Y offers great half day camps, soccer and art are the favorites.  I plan every day out and Chris laughs but they like knowing what is going on and when, it helps keep me in touch with friends also.

Sorry no photos but hopefully this weekend we will take some.

Dressed Herself

She decided what I put on her wasn't good enough so she changed.  Her dress is on backwards and she has Eagan's flip flop's on the wrong feet.  She did it herself.

Painted Nails

I painted my toe nails while Felicia was asleep and I haven't painted them in long time.  She wanted hers done too so after we got the big boys I did hers the same color.  Now we match with blue toes.

Mother's Day

I got to sleep until 8 am which is so late for me but what awaited me downstairs was daddy cooking and children around the table making cards.  We ate an awesome breakfast of an omelet, potatoes and bacon, yummy.  After breakfast all heck broke out.  Children screaming and fighting.  Then daddy joined in the madness which sent me into a crying frenzy.  Chris got the boat ready even though he felt the kids didn't deserve it but I just wanted to get out of the house and go to our "happy place".  And I am so glad we did.

The Plexico family meed us at the dock and off we went.  4 adults and 7 kids had a day of water fun and everyone took off a rod and fished, without bait.  The kayak was so fun for the kids and parents got out for some quiet time.

The day ended with an adventure.... we were towed in by Sea Tow.  Our batteries died but all the kids rolled with the day and were wonderful.

In the end I had a happy mother's day, Chris even went and got cold stone for my amazing race finally.  He is great.

Madeira Beach King Fish Tournament

Chris entered a king fish tournament with a friends, Eddie and Trip.  Eddie brought his son, Aaron.  The only caught one fish and a shark that messed up their lines and day so they entered it with Aaron.  He won 2nd place for the juniors.

Swimming Lesson

Everyone of the baldwin kids started swim lessons today.  Felicia cried when I dropped her off but her instructor was also a nice young lady from the kiddie corner so she had a great time.  I was worried that she wouldn't sit on the side of the pool but she waited her turn and loved it.  Eagan was in a class with Juju his buddy and the boys were doing laps for 40 minutes straight, unfortunately they had to soccer practice after...they were very tired tonight.
