Hurricane
I know some of you think we are crazy for living in a place were hurricanes come so frequently especially the last few years but I would rather go thru a one of those than a snow storm any day. My guys get to play outside all year long and we get to see so much wildlife. I saw manatees on Coffee Pot this week, it seems early but maybe it means a cool winter, yeah! Even when the storms are coming it means cool winds and overcast days great for parks and bikes. Frankly I love living here and the weather is great even if it is hot, we just hit water or go for air conditioning, in other words hibernate. Florida is a great fit for us.

Eagan Goes to School
Today I brought my little buddy to 1st Pres. Day School for 3 morning a week. The house is very quiet with Felicia and I here alone. Chris went with us to drop him off and then we brought him to work since he is flying out this week. Eagan's teachers gave us a small package with a tissue, tea bag and cotton ball. For the tears then to relax and the cotton ball to remember the softness our child spirit, I guess they don't know my guy that well yet.

House Changes
Well we did some shopping at IKEA on saturday after Chris placed some shelves in the boys room. That kicked off our home improvements for the weekend. We purchased a shelf unit for shoes and backpacks near the front door. Then Chris rearranged the boys room and put up some more shelving and lamps on the beds. After putting together some storage units for the playroom, I revamped that room giving it a new look. It has been over a year since we have done anything on the house, we needed a break after such a long construction time.

End of Summer
After our trip to Costa Rica we enjoyed time in MA visit with family. Aunt Nancy was nice enough to let us use the pool and playground at her apartment building one afternoon, thanks. Attending the block party at my parents neighborhood is a highlight for the kids, they don't like to miss it. Their is a bounce house and food, cupcake decorating, a pinata, fireworks and tons of other fun. The boys also loved the skate park in town, we spent half of the day riding bikes there with our pal, Bailey. We watched the boats launch at the local harbor, Brant Rock, after Sunday morning breakfast at the Mug. Later in the day Chris and I took the big boys, Johnathen and friend Caitlin to the beach, I was dying to try my new fly rod in the ocean. Chris read a book and relaxed while I watched the kids down the beach on to the jetty. After we got ice cream and headed home before a storm came. Chris and I took of the kids including Johnathen, gave mom and dad a break. The night before we left mom, Martha and I walked all the kids down to the Latest Scoop to say goodbye to Jamie. She let everyone including Bailey scoop their own ice cream, it has become a tradition now. This year she won't be coming back to Fl, we will miss her.
Well we got home from MA with Mom and Johnathen in tow. The weather wasn't very cooperative so we took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese. We did manage to get the lawn done in between all the rain. We took the kids bowling over the weekend, mommy finally won and broke 100 yeah!! Sunday the sun was out and we got our bums to the Elks pool for the whole afternoon, we even had lunch from the grill. It great to be home. Monday Mom went for a massage, we thought after watching the kids so much she could use some relaxation.
School Started
Well thanks to tropical storm Fay the boys started a day late and she didn't even hit us. They are both very happy at North Shore Elementary. This is Caleb second year at the same school and he likes his teacher Miss Deck. Dayne is in 1st grade and has Miss Johnson. Felicia was so excited to take the boys to school she grabbed her bag and phone as we exited the house.

Costa Rica
Chris and I spent 6 wonderful nights in Costa Rica with his friend, Gerry and wife, Dawn. We arrived Thursday and just had dinner and hung out. Friday I played my first round of golf on their beautiful course. I did well on the drives completing a few holes in only a few strokes over and made a great 70 foot chip uphill to the green but my favorite was chasing an armadillo. Saturday we went fishing and caught nothing put a bait fish and I didn't do well on the boat but oh well. Sunday was wonderful, we sat in the tiki hut until lunch and then went on a sunset catamaran cruise, meeting some nice people. We snorkeled, had dinner and watched the beautiful scenery. Monday we took a 2 hour sea-doo ride along the coast. Each night we ate at the resorts amazing resturants and relaxed by the pool. The last day we stayed in the tikis all day just lounging. After lunch we took naps and played a little joke on Gerry. I had nail polish and Chris did his big toe but made a mess and he thought he hurt himself while drinking by the pool and the 3 of us were laughing so hard. Thanks to Gerry and Dawn for a great time.

Maine
Our trip to Grampa Tom's in Maine with the boys was fun. We fished, rode the ATV, went kayaking, drove the other boats to the small beach area and just ran around and had fun. The boys always make a wood project while there this year it was boats, which gave us a full 24 hours of quiet. They launched their boats and parked them under the dock as the garage, they loved those wooden boats. Blueberries were in full bloom and we picked many, Dayne and Eagan went with Jesse and then made bread and coffee cake with them They fished off the dock and mommy was the lucky one to change out all the fishing poles with easy push button reels and put 3 new lures on when the others were lost to the trees. I had to practice all my new knowledge from fly fishing class and I did great. Chris got to relax and nap on the hammock, well deserved.

Chatham Fly Fishing
Chris and I went to Chatham, Ma for an Orvis fly fishing class. It was 2 very informative days with tons of fishing, no catching but oh well. I learned how to cast and set up my rod, which included tying nots and knowing what type of line to use. I am very excited and while in Maine I got my own G Loomis rod. We relaxed at night with movies, Wanted and the Dark Knight. While we were fishing the channel across from Chatham Bar Inn we were watched by many seals looking for some lunch but everyone came up empty.
